A N G K O R . W A T ~ An InfraRed Series

[I first posted this series in ClubSNAP on the 11th October 2012]

It's been a while since I've posted here (ClubSNAP) in IR.
Fate is such that I found myself in Angkor Wat recently.
I will forever remember SurrealDreamWalker's Angkor IR series...
He has inspired me to bring out some IR-ness in Angkor Wat & its surrounding structures.

L E N S B A B Y on InfraRed ~ Alternative Photography on Alternative Photography

[Click on the above title to go into the post]

Oh... what loveliness a Lensbaby doth
on InfraRed photographs!

[This was originally posted on ClubSNAP on the 15th May 2011]

Like many of the experienced shooters before me, I have also recently been drawn to the (almost tilt-shift) effects of the Lensbaby.
It is, in its very nature and very much like IR, an alternative photography. And when used together with IR photos, I felt that it brings out (again the use of the cliche word) the surreality of the scene.

Seeing the Everest Panorama Trek through the InfraRed lens.

Everest Panorama Trek, Nepal.
With SgTrekker 17-26 Mar 2011

Both SereneXMM and I joined this most unforgettable trek on Everest Country, Nepal. We had a great team of buddies and wonderful companions for this tough climb. Due to weight issue, we didn't bring our full load of equipment. Thus I only had my 535nm modified Canon 20D as my IR camera.
But I told myself, whatever it was, I was going to bring back some IR photos of the Everest Country and Mount Everest.

Some Strange Old Dilapidated House... somewhere near Singapore...

The Grand Old House that could not be named*.
* Because no one is supposed to be trespassing there.

[Addendum: Not long after this, the old Tyersall House, or whatever it was named, was torn down...]

An InfraRed . B A L I . Affair

An InfraRed Bali Affair

through the IR lenses of Limwhow & SereneXMM

It has been an exhilarating period for both myself and SereneXMM.
Because we have had the great opportunity to meet up with lots of passionate shooters.
And also we have had the honour of travelling with these wonderful people.

We haven't too many IR shots of Bali.
Well, at least not as many as we'd love to have because it rained quite a bit while we were there.

N A U G H T Y . . W I T H . . T R I T O N E ~  A way of IR

As I continued to explore IR photography, the initial internal struggle within me began to subside.
The conflict that arises from the struggle between being a purist IR shooter and being a naughty colour manipulator.
I think I probably belong to the latter.

How horrendous could it be?

I see, wah lau, many of my friends all shooting IR portraitures like nobody's business.  And I also wonder if I could give it a try.
